Lily Puppy ~ Newf ~

My sister has wanted a Newf for a while and finally got the opportunity to get one.
The breeder is from Idaho and was coming to Utah to drop off a puppy to another family, so Krystal took the Jump and boy oh boy were we excited! She is such a sweet Puppy. She was about 20 pounds in this picture, but has already put on another 30 pounds in the 2 month's they've had her. She is already up to Mercedes hip in height.
After having her around for such a short time, we wouldn't know what to do without the big fluffy loves she gives us :O)

Gotta Get Working

As soon as I found out the Gender I felt like I cold start looking for the baby bedroom stuff.

I looked and looked and looked and didn't find anything that I really liked. Instead Doug took me to the fabric store and we picked out what we liked for a blanket.

If you were to put a pattern in front of me it would take me months to figure out what it was saying, I probably wouldn't ever finish what I started.
But without a pattern...
All it takes are little ideas and some creative time, and I can totally whip up a blaket within a few hours. :O)

Baby Gender

We were in the ultrasound room waiting for the nurse and I realized I had my camera in my purse.

Hurry Doug lets document this moment so we can put it in the baby's memory book.

Every picture turned out so nerdy!!! I'm out of focus.

Or we look horrible...

Or Doug just got so fed up that he starts making fun of me :O)

As you can see we really can have a good old time especially when we found out that...

Pitter Patter

Doug knows just how to make my heart go pitter patter.

Instead of buying me chocolates or roses, or bringing home a romantic comidy... he buys me TILE

My heart just flips for fun do it ourself projects.
He got me white subway tile for our kitchen backsplash. Then told me I could pick out an accent. We went on the hunt at Home Depot and I found just the thing... cut glass!

He spent the whole weekend doing it (keep in mind this was about a months ago)

Isn't he such a happy camper! He didn't look this gun ho by the time the project was coming to an end :O) Such a sport!!!!

Here is the finished product, Doug could go pro from the looks of it.

I Lost My Cell Phone!!!!

I know it’s truly been a very, VERY long time since I’ve posted, so here is a funny little story.

I’ve had issues remembering things here and again… that is totally normal for me. But lately it has become insane how many things I have forgotten.

Just yesterday I couldn’t find my cell phone for hours, and kind of tough when you don’t have a house phone to dial the number on. Not usually a big deal, in fact some days I wish I could throw my phone out the window, but I needed to get a hold of some people for YW/YM activities. I was starting to get a little stressed, I looked in all the usual places, the car, my purse, the dresser, in the closet, even by the dog treats (yes I know so unusual for most people but a norm for me, heheh) It was gone! Somewhere I had never put it before… but where????

It was hours later when I was cleaning up the kitchen and had a few dishes to wash. Low and behold my cell phone was stacked nice and neatly in the sink with the Tupperware. Can you believe it??? . Good thing I looked in the sink before I turned on the water. :O)

Your probably wondering, Who stashes there phone in the sink with all the dirty dishes???? I guess someone who has Prego Brain!

Triple F

I just heard the best family rule called “Triple F” It stands for Forced Family Fun. The kids in this family know that when mom or dad says, “triple F,” there is no question in there mind that they have to go with mom and dad that day.

*Just to make it a little better the parents only say “triple F” when they have something fun planned, like a movie or picnic, etc...

Sounds like a fun rule I’d like to have in my family some day.

Have a great weekend!

The Hectic Holidays...

We spent a week in California with Doug’s family for Thanksgiving, which was a blast! Minus all the motion sickness from the constant rides at Disneyland and Nott’s Berry Farm. We loved all the animal life at Sea World and would go back in a heart beat. Doug and I took a little day trip to Huntington Beach where we did a little shopping, wandered around the art’s fair on the beach, and sat on the pier and watched old men fish… It was definitely the most relaxing day of the whole trip.

I LOVE the spirit of Christmas and all the sparkle it brings to everyone’s eyes, but for some reason this December seemed like it was always go go go.
With my sister’s family in town and all the parties to attend, it didn’t seem like we had any time to put up the Christmas tree or even sit down and recoup from California. Doug was the narrator for the Ward Christmas Play and he did a phenomenal job, he really is so funny and good at memorizing every line. Who would have thought that acting could be his thing :O) We played lot’s of games with friends and family and just had a ball! Christmas day was so relaxing with lounging around and taking naps, we got in a movie and even opened a few presents.

Now it’s on to 2011 with lots of goals and aspirations in front of us. I even made it till midnight this time!!! Then it was off to an early start, for breakfast doesn’t wait till noon, bunches of Dad’s family was getting together in the great gathering room.

We love you all and wish you the best this year!
