Simmonds Family Reunion

just look at that beautiful sunset, it's too bad we are in the way of the view.

Krystal's such a pro she caught a ton of fish.

Jake is just being Jake... he loves spending quality time with his cute wife.

Doug did what Dan thought was impossible, he caught a 2-3 pound rainbow trout with a grub jig. He smiled from ear to ear the rest of the night.

I guess you have to release trout right side up and if you don't they stop breathing. Well our little buddy didn't quite make it back in the lake that way. Dan started backing up the boat and Doug got his pole out as far as he could reach and flipped the fish over. it was so funny to see but I was just waiting for them do mouth to mouth on the poor little thing...

Totally an amateur painter

I was looking at a Colett Yarro's website (http://www.artsymama.net/) this week and it struck an interest in painting because her art work is so fun and colorful. It looked a lot more simple then some crazy, hard, oil landscape so I printed off a few and decided I would try to paint one then it became two and now I want to make my own pattern of a snail for Krystal's little baby.

In the works...

Doesn't it look good!

They look so fun

Great examples of selfless service

On Saturday Mom had her first bike race that ended up being 108 miles round trip (starting at the fairgrounds, going up around Lagoon, then antelope island and back to the fairgrounds) she did very well. We are really grateful to Dad for following her and making sure she was safe and sound the whole way. In fact there was one time that the arrows marking the way were messed up and many people said, "Follow the white expedition it will lead you in the right direction."

Friday night Dave & Cathie showed up unannounced at our house to help DJ and Lani with yard work. It was so great of them to get the ball rolling! We all pitched in and got the job done quickly. Such a blessing in disguise for Dj and Lani... they have been so busy with him working upward 60 hours a week, its made it very hard to get big jobs like yard work done.

Krystal had her BABY!

Momma and Baby Alex.

Chrisy Bell loves the Baby

What a good Great Grandma they have!

Mercedes can't get enough of her baby brother

Jake and Krystal had a busy night... The baby was on his way!

They called aunt Kristy around midnight to come sleep with the girls, but Steven wasn't home from work yet (those crazy Arby's people) with the car so they called Grandma and Grandpa Simmonds to come stay the night. We are so very great full that Jake and Krystal have family out in Vernal that are so willing to help them with everything.

*She had the baby around 2 a.m. weighing in at 6 pounds and he is 20 inches long. They named him Alex Jacob Densley

We love the Priesthood

We are truly excited for Spencer because he was ordained to the office of Priest today! In the Circle was Dad, Doug, Spencers young men leaders, and two of his close friends Weston Prestwich, and Tommy Pugh. He is on his way to the mission field if he keeps this up! We had a steak dinner to celebrate.
