Baby Bump

Can you believe I haven't taken any baby bump pictures yet???
I'm due in less then a week and who knows when this little guy is gonna come,
it really could be any day!

Doug took me out and snapped a few shots.
For us not knowing anything about photography they turned out really cute.

I found some cool photoshop actions and added them myself.

This is my favorite.
Such a cute baby belly!

6 days and counting!!!

Baby Bookworm Shower

My Sweet mother and sisters-in-laws threw me a book worm baby shower. It was so much fun! Everyone was asked to bring there favorite childhood book. Now we have an awesome start on a baby library, that even Doug and I enjoy!

They made the cutest diaper cake with all the fun toppings:
books, bibs, a boo boo turtle, onsies and lots lots more.

This is Dayja, she is being adopted by my sister-in-law Lani, sweetest little girls ever.

For an activity we made a baby's first Alphabet Book! I can't wait to see the finished product.

Grandma Cathie with Lily.

Thanks for the awesome party.
So much work went into it,
and it was a hit!!!

Lamp shade how to...kinda

Warning: this uses tons of fabric!
I cut a painter drop cloth, bought from a local big box store for $9, into 3 inch strips and folded them in half.

This is an old lamp shade that i had just hanging around the house. The base was an old $3 copper base from DI, I just spray painted it Krylon primer gray. I absolutely love the color!

Next you blob on a ton of glue and start twisting the strips of fabric all over the lamp shade. I didn't do anything too consistent, just what looked good to me.

It took forever... just keep going.
This might be the worlds heaviest lamp shade so don't drop it on your toes when your finished.

Finished product.
It looks so fantastic when its lit up!!!

Timber...

Isn't that a pretty site to come home too!!! The thoughts that ran through my head within a minute... I'm so grateful it didn't hit my house, or the neighbors house, or the truck parked across the street. How am I supposed to handle this? Call Doug quick! But what is he gonna do, he is at work.

The root system was taller then me, but under the pressure of mother nature anything can SNAP just like that.
Thanks goodness for amazing neighbors! He was over within 10 minutes and cut up the whole tree in about an hour. Then the city came in with this nifty machine and scooped up the whole tree
And just like that it was gone... in less then 3 hours all we had left was a crater in our flower bed.

It was such an interesting proces to watch especially how quickly it was handled and how willing everyone was to help.

On the up side, maybe I can get a cute lilac tree to put there instead :O)

Aint She Pertty

My Baby sister is getting MARRIED!!!

She looks so beautiful in her dress... Don't tell the groom that I have pictures of her, could be bad luck :O)

Lily Puppy ~ Newf ~

My sister has wanted a Newf for a while and finally got the opportunity to get one.
The breeder is from Idaho and was coming to Utah to drop off a puppy to another family, so Krystal took the Jump and boy oh boy were we excited! She is such a sweet Puppy. She was about 20 pounds in this picture, but has already put on another 30 pounds in the 2 month's they've had her. She is already up to Mercedes hip in height.
After having her around for such a short time, we wouldn't know what to do without the big fluffy loves she gives us :O)
