Oh Yeah, were finally at the BEACH!!!

The beaches in Sea Side were fun, packed with little kids flying kits and swinging. It was a long walk from the sidewalk to the actual water, maybe a half mile.
The weather was horrible 50 degrees with a constant See Mist. We didn't spend too much time at the beach because of it.

Wow my toes were numb :O)

Doesn't it look chilly!

Doug is a brave little man. He laughed so hard when the frigged waves crashed on his legs.

Just imagine... he made it to the Atlantic before the Pacific.

The next day was as clear as it could be, still a little chilly.

The hotels at Cannon Beach set up these cute wind breakers and umbrellas for anyone to use.
Relaxed!!!
I needed to take off those shoes, not so relaxing.

Dancing in the water
Haystack Rock

Probably my favorite picture

Those are some cute feet.

Different landscape of Oregon

It was the coolest thing having dense forests on one side of the road and the ocean on the other.

I love these orange flowers!
One day I'll have some of these pretty's in my yard :O)

the flowers were so big and vibrant

Cannon beach
This is just down from Hay Stack Rock

This is where we watched a momma and baby whale play for about 30 minutes.

These little plants grow all over the rough rocks.

Can you see the Star Fish??? I couldn't either. Poor little guy, I only noticed him because I stepped on him. I felt so bad

We were driving in a beautiful Dense forest and all the sudden there is a sign that says, "watch for drifting sand." I just thought we were back to the ocean and beaches. Not by a long shot these are the sand dunes we drove through.

Lighthouses

This is the first lighthouse we saw it is called Yaquina Head
You'd better plug your nose though... if the wind is blowing your direction it is stinky!!!!

This is Haceta Head Lighthouse.

The Coast Gard sold the keepers house for only $10 dollars when they were done with it.
WOW what a bargain!

What a beautiful retreat, the keepers house is now an Inn for all of you folks who are gonna go.

This is the view from the front door, absolutely beautiful.

Yaquina Bay lighthouse was really quaint and hidden in the trees, so they built Yaquina Head to take it's place.

A is for...

Doug took me on a wonderful trip to Oregon for our 5th Anniversary! It was so nice to drive along the coast with no worries in the world and just have a darn toot’n good ol’ time! I’ll post more about it later.

As we were driving through Idaho board out of our minds… we couldn’t wait to see blue water… I made up a game on the spot, I called it the Alphabet game and it goes a little like this: A is for… ALFALFA! It could be anything as long as you could really see it, at that moment. We divided it up like so, every other letter was yours. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

“Doug it’s your turn!”

A is for Alfalfa
B is for Boise
C is for Car
D is for Diesel
E is for Eden
F is for Field
G is for Green Shed
H is for House
I is for Interstate 84
J is for Jeep
K is for Kimberly Falls
L is for Lodging Camp
M is for Motel
N is for Nothing
O is for One (178 miles to go)
P is for Planetarium
Q is for Quiet (Doug turned off the music)
R is for Red Lion Hotel
S is for Shari’s Restaurant
T is for Toyota Tacoma
U is for Udders (passing Dairy Farm)
V is for Veering into other lain (we weren’t tiered at all :O)
W is for Western Stockman
X is for RXR (Rail Road X-ing sign)
Y is for Yellow Line
Z is for Ziggies

It filled about an hour of the drive and like always, the really creative ones were Doug… U is for Udders… Who thinks out of the box like that, When I see a Cow, I think COW.

He really makes me laugh!
